Script formatting requirements
Please read through to the end of the previous post.
Today we looked at:
- Terminology to do with the play form. (note how each is functioning in your play)
- 8 minute Macbeth (sample of short play and how blocking and sound can be)
Consider:
· How is it staged? Do they look at each other the whole time?
· What is the set like?
· What is happening when they are not talking?
· How might the script
for this play look? What sort of stage directions (instructions
written into the script of a play indicating stage actions, movements of
performers and/or props/lights.) do you think were added?
Consider too how you can use some of these ideas in your own plays despite the fact that we are not filming and are not on location. We discussed some ways in class.
Working timing will see us putting on our skits and submitting scripts likely, May 7/8th.
