Notes on interpreting symbol and metaphor in film

For the written portion, due at the time of your talk please include:

• The Title of your film/show/game/ad
• The Creators' name/s
• The reason you were intitially attracted to the scene.
• Tell us the ways that the images, sounds, setting, characters etc. link to your life SYMBOLICALLY.
• Be sure to give specific examples of the connection to your lived experience.

Be careful NOT to just reference the plot and say it is like your life. 

Marks are given for :

• demonstrating an understanding of symbolic or metaphorical imagery.
• The quality of your writing. It should be between a half page and a page typed (12 font)
• See rubric on the back side of the assignment sheet for your marks break down.
