How to prepare for your book talk and write up. (What we did/is due)

Hi ELC,

 Today,

• we wrote our 1701 write. If you were absent YOU MUST COME SEE ME IMMEDIATELY.
• QUOTE OF THE BOOK DUE/SUBMITTED TODAY.

Notes for preparing for your book talk/write up: DUE NOV. 21/22
FOR YOUR TALK,
• Give a short summary of the novel
o Who is the protagonist?
o What is the setting?
o What is the conflict?
o What is the basic plot (don’t give away too much or we won’t be able to read it.
DO NOT CUT AND PASTE FROM THE INTERNET!
• Share your book quote/theme
• What are the strengths and weaknesses of the book?
• Would you recommend it?
• Make eye contact, speak loudly and clearly enough, use English (don’t read it)

FOR YOUR WRITTEN PART,
 As above plus,
 Tell how you chose the novel
 Tell how it is valuable beyond just entertainment (hint: this links to theme)

REMINDER: Revised journal due Nov. 28/29 (we will work on these in class)
