Hello ELC,
Here is more information about the next project upon which you are working:
Show Off Projects
While, often we think of 'showing off' in a negative way, we can also think of it in terms of teaching and/or sharing.
Show Off Projects
While, often we think of 'showing off' in a negative way, we can also think of it in terms of teaching and/or sharing.
· Choose a talent or interest that you have that you'd like to demonstrate/teach to us. This could be cooking, crafting, building, coding, gaming, performing, athleticism or anything you feel confident in sharing.
· Prepare a 5 - 10 minute talk/demonstration(set upand tear down included) of your show off idea
· Provide back ground to how you developed your talent
· Provide any historical/technical background to this talent that you think we might need to know. (famous examples of this talent, the growth and development of it)
· Your presentation must include a visual component. This could be a video, demo, model, projection, or hands-on inclusion of your audience (we all model with clay for example)
· You are responsible for any materials needed for your presentation, but of course I am happy to help in any way I can if you provide me with enough notice.
· You will submit a written version of your talk to me Nov. 28/29. (I’ll provide you with a form/template to fill out for this.)
· we will have a sign up sheet where you can sign up for your presentation Nov. 28/29
· Dec. 4-13: Show Off project presentations! (marks taken for being respectful audience members as well. This is a celebration of your gifts and talents.)
· Marking Rubrics are on your Show Off project assignment handout.
I very much look forward to seeing you show off your strange and wonderful talents!
Thanks everyone,
Ms. S
