• Today you worked together on a logic puzzle- good job talking it through.
• You wrote journal #2 from the 'Journal Jar'- please remember to bring your journal books each day.
• Bring novels every day.
• We reviewed verb conjugation and looked at the link from our self-study page: Verb table
• Study Page 1  there will be a test on this page on Oct. 3/4.

Due Sept. 29/Oct.2 by the end of class: 'Lesson 46' verb sheet.  Be careful to read and follow the instructions. you may omit part E.

Hello All,

Today we worked on Journal writing; for next week please . . .
Due: For Monday September 25th bring a journal (scribbler)

Due: Monday September 25th Read 2 chapters of your Independent novel and identify:

Protagonist – The main character in the story with which we identify or sympathize.

Antagonist – The character, force, idea or emotion, which Is directly opposed to the main character.

Conflict – The clash of opposing forces, persons, ideas or emotions in a story.

Setting – The time, place and condition in which the story takes place.

See class notes to review what each of these is. 

 There will be a Homework check next block on these notes.

Feel free to review Verbs in the self-study links.

Home work due by end of Sept. 20

Dear ELC,

Today, on the golden sheet, you have been invited to find a NOVEL to read this term. We will go to the library together on Sept. 20th to read and/or choose a novel.

Please take some time over the next few days to consider what sort of a novel/story you might enjoy  reading.

When you have chosen it you must sign up with me so I know what you have chosen.
